Postnatal package

Your midwife for you, your baby and your partner up to 6 weeks postpartum

Our Vision: Postpartum Family Care

Coming home with a newborn is a moment of profound bliss and change for the whole family. Currently, the NHS typically offers only two home visits (day 2 and day 5) during the first six weeks. We believe that this is not enough.

Research shows that the risk of developing serious mental health conditions is roughly twice as high for mothers in the first weeks following childbirth. In the UK, it is estimated that 1 in 4 women suffer from anxiety or depression in the perinatal period. But there is a solution: evidences also show that early, consistent support and continuity of care significantly reduce the risk of perinatal illness.

Our postpartum packages bridge the gap by providing midwife support at home for the first six weeks. We focus on the mother's physical and mental recovery, the baby's health and development, and the partner's empowerment, ensuring you all have the tools and confidence to navigate this transition together.

When you are supported, you don’t just cope, you thrive.

How it works

Our Service

Bespoke postnatal care delivered by the same experienced midwife, at the comfort of your home. We are committed to offer the best care to you, your baby and your partner.

    • Our postnatal package include 8 visits within the first 6 weeks after birth

    • Week 1:

      • The first visit takes place within 24-hours of hospital discharge. Option to schedule it at the hospital for special cases, during visit hours (speak to your midwife).

      • Two other visits take place around Day-4 and Day-7.

      • Those visits are additional to the NHS visits in Day-2 and Day-5, to ensure the maximum support.

    • Week 2-6: one visit per week

    • Visit schedule is flexible, all arranged at a time that suits you, tailored to your needs.

  • In a world that often shifts its gaze entirely to the newborn, we recognise that your wellbeing is the foundation of your family’s health. Each visit includes a holistic check of the mother, the baby and the partner, ensuring everyone receive the dedicated attention they deserve.

    Mother’s check

    • Physical Healing: We will check your blood pressure. We’ll also feel your tummy to make sure your uterus is contracting back to its normal size as expected.

    • Wound Care: If you had a C-section or required stitches, we will check the wound to ensure it is healing cleanly.

    • Your Body’s Progress: We’ll have a quick chat about your vaginal loss (lochia) and your bladder and bowel health. These are simple but vital signs that your body is recovering well internally.

    • Emotional Wellbeing: It is very common to feel a "rollercoaster" of emotions. We are here to listen. If need be, we will escalate it promptly to the NHS so you get the right support as early as possible. Experiencing mental health problems after birth is very common. If symptoms are caught early and relevant support is available, they resolve quickly.

    • Comfort & Rest: We can offer advice on pain relief, pelvic floor, and organisation to find windows for rest.

    Baby’s checks

    • Feeding & Hydration: Whether you are breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or a mix of both, we’ll check in on how it’s going. We look for a comfortable latch and efficient feeding, using nappy counts as a simple, reliable guide that your baby is getting exactly what they need.

    • Weight & Growth: We will weigh your baby to track their progress. It’s normal for babies to lose a little weight in the first few days; we are there to monitor their steady gain back to their birth weight.

    • Overall Wellbeing: We perform a "top-to-toe" check, looking at their skin tone (checking for jaundice), their breathing patterns, and how their umbilical cord stump is healing.

    Partner’s checks

We are here to support the supporter. We ensure you are informed, confident, and cared for as you navigate your own transition into parenthood.

    • Hands-on Coaching: We’ll guide you through practical newborn care, from soothing techniques to safe sleep, so you feel fully capable in your role.

    • Emotional Check-in: This is a major life change for you, too. We provide space to discuss your experience, your wellbeing, and how you’re adjusting to the new routine.

    • Being the "Watchful Eye": You know her best. We’ll teach you the simple signs of healthy recovery versus what might need a professional look, helping you support her best.

  • Feeding is a skill that takes time to master. We provide expert guidance for breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or a blend of both.

    • Clinical Expertise: Our feeding specialist midwives will help you perfect your baby’s latch, manage supply, perform tongue-tie assessments, and provide guidance on mastitis prevention. For bottle-feeding, we offer advice on formula types and responsive feeding techniques.

    • Partners as active participants: We show partners how to be active participants, whether through skin-to-skin bonding, bottle-feeding, or "active support" during breastfeeding, ensuring the mother is comfortable and the baby is settled.

    • Nurturing Confidence: We help you learn to read your baby’s cues so you can recognise the signs of a healthy baby. By monitoring their growth and hydration closely, we provide the external confirmation and peace of mind you need to feel confident that your baby is thriving.

  • Prompt referrals to NHS doctors

Your safety is our absolute priority. Our midwives are trained to spot the subtle signs that a recovery may need extra support. Should we identify any clinical concerns for you or your baby, we will promptly escalate your care to the appropriate NHS specialist team, ensuring you receive the right expert intervention without delay.

Network of experienced practicioners for extra support

If you need, we will provide you with trusted recommendations for night nurses, pelvic floor physiotherapists, maternal health therapists, tongue-tie specialists… we have a large network of trusted professionals we are happy to refer you to.

  • From 8am to 10pm, every day, you’ll have direct messaging access to your midwife for any question or concern, whenever they arise.
