What’s included

Everything in one package.

  • On-call from 38 weeks

Your midwife is on-call 24/7 from 38 weeks until you give birth. One number. One person.

  • Early labour at home

Telephone triage when contractions start. We come to you to assess progress, monitor baby, and help you decide when to head in.

  • Hospital attendance as your birth partner

Once you're in active labour we go with you to hospital and stay until baby is born. Your midwife works alongside the hospital team, never in place of them.

  • Advocacy and informed choice

We help you understand what's being offered, what your options are, and ask the questions that get drowned out in a busy delivery suite.

  • First postnatal visit included

We come to you within 24 to 48 hours of getting home for the first newborn check, feeding support and to see how you're doing.

How it works

From the first chat to your final visit.

  1. Birth preparation in late pregnancy

Two dedicated sessions for you and your partner: birth plan, hypnobirthing, what to expect, what to push back on.

  2. On-call from 38 weeks

Direct WhatsApp and phone access. We're available 24/7. If your midwife is at another birth, our second on-call midwife steps in.

  3. Labour begins

Call us. We talk you through early labour, come to your home if helpful, and travel with you when it's time.

  4. After the birth

First home visit within 48 hours, with the full postnatal package available if you'd like to keep us beyond.

Who it’s for

Is this you?

  • Anyone anxious about navigating the NHS labour ward alone.
  • Couples whose partner wants real support, not just to wait in the corner.
  • Parents who've had a difficult previous birth and want to do it differently.
Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked

Questions parents ask us most about birth.

Can’t find what you’re looking for? See all FAQs or ask us directly.

  • Are you a midwife or a doula? What's the difference?

We're fully qualified midwives, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. That means we're clinically trained: we can monitor baby's heart, assess labour progress, take clinical observations and use medical equipment. A doula provides emotional and practical support but cannot perform clinical checks. We do both.

  • What if my midwife is at another birth when I go into labour?

Our team operates a small on-call rota so a second midwife you've already met is available as backup. You won't be left calling a stranger.

  • Can you actually deliver my baby at the hospital?

No. Once you're admitted, the hospital midwives lead the clinical care of your labour. That's the law in NHS settings, and we work with the hospital team, not over them. What we do is stay with you continuously, advocate for your wishes, explain what's happening, and never leave the room.

  • What if I'm having a planned caesarean?

We support planned c-sections too. We can't be in theatre with you, but we can be with you on the ward beforehand, present for recovery, and lead your postnatal care from the moment you're back.

  • When in labour do you come?

We talk you through early labour by phone. Most parents want us with them once contractions are 4 to 5 minutes apart, lasting 60 seconds, for an hour or more. It's your call. We come earlier if you want us to.

  • What hospitals do you cover?

All NHS and private maternity units in Greater London: UCLH, Chelsea & Westminster, St Mary's, the Portland, the Lindo Wing, Whittington, Royal London, Lewisham, and others. Tell us your hospital at the free chat.
